Terms & conditions
The rules for browsing novaquinn.art, ordering a print, or commissioning a piece from Nova Quinn — kept short and written in plain language, so you always know where you stand.
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of novaquinn.art, the purchase of prints or editions listed on it, and any commission or licensing work arranged through the site. By using the site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.
Who we are
Nova Quinn Studio operates as a sole proprietorship based in Los Angeles, California, at 148 Mercer Street, Suite 4B (Studio No. NQ-2024-0198). These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.
What these terms cover
These Terms apply to everyone who visits novaquinn.art, buys a print or edition, or commissions or licenses a piece through it. They sit alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains separately how we handle your personal data.
The work
Nova Quinn creates original generative and digital artworks, released as limited-edition prints or one-of-one pieces. Availability, edition sizes, and pricing shown on the site can change without notice until an order is placed, and an edition may be discontinued at any time. We describe each piece as accurately as we can, though screen colors may vary slightly from the printed work.
Purchases & prints
Placing an order is an offer to buy, confirmed once payment clears and we send an order confirmation. Prints ship in protective packaging within the timeframe stated at checkout; international orders may be subject to customs fees, which are the buyer’s responsibility. If a print arrives damaged, contact us within 14 days of delivery for a replacement or refund — see Section 8 for our full cancellations and refunds policy.
Commissions & licensing
Commissions begin with a brief and a non-refundable deposit, which secures your place in the studio’s queue. We’ll share progress at agreed milestones and include a set number of revision rounds, detailed in your commission agreement. Licensing a piece for commercial or editorial use requires a separate written license from the studio — a purchased print does not include one.
Intellectual property
Nova Quinn retains full copyright in every artwork, including generative code, source files, and any commissioned piece, unless a license explicitly transfers those rights. Buying a print or edition gives you ownership of that physical object only — not the right to reproduce, resell as your own, or use the image commercially. You may share photos of work you own for personal, non-commercial purposes, with credit to Nova Quinn. Any other use requires our written permission.
Site use
You’re welcome to browse, share links to, and enjoy the work on this site. Please don’t scrape, mirror, or reproduce its content, attempt to download high-resolution image files without permission, or use the site in any way that disrupts it for other visitors. We reserve the right to limit or suspend access for anyone who misuses the site or its content.
Cancellations & refunds
Prints & editions — returns accepted within 14 days of delivery if unopened and undamaged; buyer covers return shipping unless the piece arrived damaged. Commission deposits — non-refundable once work begins, but fully refundable if you cancel before the brief is accepted. Digital licenses — non-refundable once files are delivered.
Liability
Nova Quinn Studio provides this site and its work “as is.” We aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the site, a purchased print, or a commissioned piece, beyond the price you paid for it. Nothing here limits liability that can’t be limited by law, including for fraud or gross negligence. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Questions about an order or a dispute should go to hello@novaquinn.art before any other action — we’d rather sort it out directly.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as the studio and site evolve. Changes take effect once posted here, and material changes will be flagged with an updated date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site or place an order after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
